The Heirloom Collection

The Heirloom Collection features the finest quality organic cotton towels and robes made by hand on traditional hand operated looms. These old looms were abandoned and disappearing fast after being replaced by new automated equipment. Today, there is renewed interest in these high quality looms and they are being rescued from scrap yards, refurbished and put back in to service by master craftsmen who are now training a new generation to keep this age-old tradition alive. Woven only from G.O.T.S. certified organic cotton, these towels are made from yarn-dyed fibers using vegetable dyes. Available in six styles from traditional to contemporary in a palette of soft, sophisticated colors. They are a thirsty 700 gram weight and deliver consistently superb performance in water absorption, softness, durability and shrinkage. Simply stated, these towels deliver luxury like no other towel can.

Care Instructions:

Washing InstructionsDue to the handmade nature of this towel, some snagging is unavoidable. If you should snag a towel, simply cut off the thread using a pair of scissors. We recommend washing your towels in cold water immediately after purchase. This wash will lock the weave in place and help prevent pulled threads.

Washing natural cotton towels before use begins the "breaking in" process, making them softer and more absorbent. Several washes are necessary for the towels to reach their maximum absorbency, softness and fluff. The more you wash them the softer they become. Launder towels in warm water with gentle detergent. Do not use bleach. Do not use fabric softener as it decreases absorbency by coating the fibers with chemicals.
